    Job Title: Technology Mentor Teacher
    Reports to: Director of Technology
    Salary: Teacher Salary Schedule
    Employment: Student contact days + in-service(s)
    Supervises: No Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Three (3) years experience working as a classroom teacher preferred.
    • Experience integrating technology into the instruction.
    • Current Arizona Teacher Certification preferred
    • Demonstrated understanding of current academic standards, educational theory, and research related to effective teaching and learning.
    • Knowledge in creating websites.
    • Valid/current AZ Drivers License along with valid/current insurance.
    • Experience in delivery of staff development, preferred.
    • Knowledge of various software such as presentation packages, database, spreadsheet, word processing graphics, Internet/e-mail, teacher-utility programs, subject-specific packages.
    • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
    • Ability to define problems, and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    • Assists in the development and refinement of instructional technology training curriculum and materials.
    • Familiarity with adult learning theory and the ability to lead meetings and train adults.
    • Conducts individual, small group, and large group training on software and/or hardware use and functionality.
    • Conducts individual, small group, and large group training on the integration of technology into the curriculum.
    • Assists in the development of instructional technology curriculum in alignment with current academic standards.
    • Oversees the Technology Core Teachers
    • Faciliates curriculum planning and development with Computer Science Teachers
    • Assists in the coordination for technical integration efforts, provides advice and recommendations on current and emerging technology products.
    • Conducts evening and weekend training sessions, seminars, and briefings; willing to work during off-contract times.
    • Establishes and maintains a regular schedule of school site training/mentoring and planning opportunities (curriculum development, team teaching) for consortia and district teachers for that purpose of integrating technology into curriculum.
    • Participate in professional growth related to technology integration and leadership skills.
    • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with all district stakeholders and the community.
    • Organizational and long-term planning skills.
    • Travel to various school sites throughout the work day.
    • Perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and board policies.
    • Maintain the district’s website.
    • Utilize a computer with appropriate software.
    • Knowledge of current instructional technology including product evaluation, selection, and implementation.
    • Technology hardware and software trouble-shooting skills.
    • Assist with help desk calls and interact with ticketing system.
    • Regular and punctual attendance required to meet essential function of job responsibilities
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.
