    Job Title:
    Supervisor of Technology

    Employment: Full-time - 12 Months
    Salary: $71,259 - $87,410
    Reports to: Superintendent
    Supervises: Technology Support Staff

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:
    Provides innovative technology solutions for the Curriculum and Technology departments. Provides leadership in the continual development, application and improvement of digital learning, and other classroom instructional technologies throughout the District. This position is responsible for leading all Educational Technology initiatives, develop technologies to drive efficiencies in professional development and provide support for other instructional technology applications used by the District.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Previous experience with K-12 curriculum instruction design and delivery.
    • A bachelor’s degree in education, organizational development, training and development, information technology, or related subject area, with appropriate education coursework.
    • A master’s degree preferred in education leadership, education technology, organization development, training and development, or information technology.
    • Minimum 3 years experience with K-12 public education in a classroom setting preferred.
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Serve as a dedicated team member in both Curriculum and Technology departments balancing the needs and responsibilities between both departments.
    • Facilitate and provide support to the educational process and the technology department through the creation, implementation, and supervision of district-wide technology initiatives, programs and supplemental programs, and projects, and professional development to enhance student learning.
    • Facilitate the support for instructional technology communication with schools, leadership team, and the school site coaches.
    • Participate in the formation of technology-related goals and objectives for the district.
    • Create professional learning opportunities to assist in the implementation and application of the use of technology to support core and innovative learning.
    • Encourage use of educational technology, computer science, STEM and innovative learning methods in the delivery of instruction as well as understand the challenges that faculty and students face in its use.
    • Support function and management of the Balsz Online Academy and other elearning efforts.
    • Remain current with State Board rules, regulations, and legislative mandates dealing with technology integration.
    • Continue to grow professionally through appropriate staff development opportunities.
    • Serve as a public relations liaison for staff and the community for inquiries related to technology.
    • Maintain a high level of professionalism with all stakeholders to establish a positive rapport.
    • Collaborate as a member of the technology leadership team to supervise and evaluate staff as directed.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
