    Job Title: Principal – Elementary School
    Employment: Full-time - 12 Months
    Salary: Administrative
    Reports to: Assistant Superintendent
    Supervises: All School Personnel

    • Masters Degree and Arizona Principal Certification required.
    • Bilingual (preferred)
    • Professional growth evidenced by advanced training in leadership.
    • Three or more years of successful teaching experience at the elementary/middle school level.
    • Successful Principal or Assistant Principal experience in urban setting

    Essential Functions:
    • Communicate high expectations by setting attainable school goals based on the superintendent’s direction and identified needs of the school.
    • Supervise the curricular program to align with superintendent’s directives and enhance student achievement and overall student development.
    • Establish and maintain an effective learning climate in the school.
    • Plan and organize activities to involve parents and other community members as positive partners in the school.
    • Evaluate and counsel all staff members regarding their individual and group performances.
    • Maintain professional growth plans and facilitate professional growth opportunities for all staff.
    • Maintain discipline on the part of personnel and students.
    • Supervise and communicate detailed student achievement data to guide the instructional program.
    • Supervise the preparation of reports, records, lists, and other documents as required.
    • Prepare and submit a local school budget, while monitoring expenditures throughout the year.
    • Assume responsibility for implementation and observance of district policies, rules, and administrative directives.
    • Regular and punctual attendance required to meet essential function of job responsibilities.
    • Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent/Superintendent.
