    Job Title: Grants Specialist
    Employment: 12 Months
    Salary: Classified Salary Schedule
    Reports to: Finance Manager, Federal and State Programs Manager
    Supervises: No Supervisory Responsibilities

    Qualifications:
    • High School Graduate or Equivalent
    • Associate’s degree or higher preferred
    • Three (3) years of related experience preferred

    Required Skills:
    • Experience and knowledge of school business management.
    • Experience and knowledge with grants management.
    • Knowledge of auditing requirements and the Uniform System of Financial Records
    • Ability to keep confidentiality of records, correspondence, sensitive information.
    • Effectively use a variety of computer programs to include, but not limited to: Excel and Visions accounting software, Microsoft Office applications, data collection and complex database programs.
    • Demonstrates strong organizational skills that are detail-oriented.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with school personnel, students, parents and community.
    • Demonstrates understanding of accounting and budgeting principles.
    • Demonstrates aptitude for planning and budgeting project proposals.
    • Demonstrates the ability to analyze data and disseminate program effectiveness.
    • Demonstrates sound and practical decision-making.

    Essential Functions:
    • Support the administration of Federal and State grants under the direction of the Federal and State Programs Manager.
    • Maintain office filing system(s) to meet program needs for information storage and retrieval.
    • Maintain records required for compliance, monitoring, evaluation and auditing of federal and state programs.
    • Maintain internal procedures to ensure fiscal integrity of program funds in compliance with regulations governing expenditures of such funds.
    • Assist with preparation of reports and studies for the purpose of providing information to the Board, Superintendent, Chief Financial Officer, other staff and the public or to comply with the regulatory requirements.
    • Assist the Federal and State Programs Manager in the Development, implementation and monitoring of procedures to insure timely submission of applications, amendments, reports, census data and evaluations required for federal, and state projects.
    • Collect real time data.
    • Maintain various databases for all related data tracking needs and functions.
    • Attend all school, district, state meetings as required.
    • Maintain confidentiality of records, correspondence and conferences.
    • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
