    Qualifications and Required Skills:
    • At least ten years of successful experience in teaching and school administration
    • A Master’s Degree or higher
    • Appropriate administrative certification for the State of Arizona
    • Outstanding human relations and leadership skills
    • Demonstrated understanding of Arizona School Curriculum and Standards
    • Demonstrated competencies in supervision, knowledge of instructional strategies, learning principles and student development
    • Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously and effectively with school personnel, students, parents and community
    • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Experience in planning district-wide projects
    • Demonstrated knowledge of data analysis
    • Effective communication skills
    • Excellence in delivering and developing professional learning opportunities

    Essential Functions:
    • Assists the Superintendent in the administration and coordination of the District’s educational program Supervises, administers, and coordinates the District’s curriculum and all phases of curriculum needs for grades K-8
    • Assists in the development and implementation of district curriculum models
    • Leads the development and implementation of proactive diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
    • Promotes district commitment to a climate of equity and inclusion through interaction with individuals and agencies inside and outside the District
    • Advises teachers of new programs and ways of supplementing their materials in cooperation with the school principal
    • Visits classrooms and intervention labs providing support for instructional coaches and beginning teachers
    • Provide leadership, expertise, and ongoing support to administrators, instructional coaches, reading interventionists and beginning teachers
    • Coordinates benchmarks and common formative assessments being used for data-driven decision-making
    • Assists schools/sites with their Professional Development Plans as requested by the Superintendent
    • Provides continuous professional growth opportunities for staff members, including the creation and presentation of professional learning programs and follow-up coaching visits
    • Coordinate and supervise the district teacher induction program
    • Supports the district’s implementation of the Teacher Evaluation System
    • Manages the department budget, including developing budget proposals, justifying expenses and monitoring accounts
    • Collaborates with Superintendent to develop a base of administrative understanding and support
    • Performs other duties as required or assigned by the Superintendent
